Do you need to send files (content, graphics, etc) to JDWebHost for use in building your website?
For Windows users, JDWebHost provides a very simple Uploader application (JDWebHost_FTP.exe) to help you accomplish this task.
If you are a JDWebHost customer and do not already have the Uploader application, click here to request the Members logon information that will allow you to download the Uploader application.
In your e-mail, mention that you need the members logon. Once you have received the user name and password, click here to go to the Members page to download the application.
Now that you have the Uploader application, run it, select the appropriate language if asked and it will then display a small window that will look like the image on the right:
To send (upload) a file, simply drag the file to the middle portion of the application window and it will immediately and automatically copy the file to the JDWebHost server.
You can also drag and drop multiple files if you select them simultaneously.
It is sometimes helpful to put Windows Explorer in a smaller window so you can see both applications at the same time. This makes it easier to drag and drop.
Once you have completed uploading your files then simply close the Uploader application. You may want to keep the Uploader in a familiar spot in case you need to use it again.
Note that the Uploader application creates a single preferences file (LockedDUL.prefs) which remembers the language setting that you chose.
